For four years, my husband and I aspired to be homeowners. we attended multiple first-time

homebuyer classes with successful completions however, the purchasing and ownership

qualifications became more than we were willing to accept. Limiting the homeowner to only

owning one home and requiring a seven-year mandatory living period. Not to mention the

penalties if said requirements were not met. Our frustrations grew. We conversed with our Aunt

Mrs. Beatrice Bryson who is a licensed realtor here in the state of Florida. My husband and I

thought we knew what we wanted.  A single-family home with no HOA. 

We sat at the computer on several occasions Going through property at the property not finding

any homes that met our desires. After many failed attempts to seek out properties on our own,

our aunt asked us one question “Do you trust me?” Where we responded, “Of course we do”.

She asked us Again this time applying more emphasis on ‘trust’. This time we were hesitant to respond so abruptly. 

She looked at us and said listen. I may not be able to find you the exact house that you think you

want, but I promise I will find you the perfect home for your family. 

Keep in mind the whole time we were looking for existing homes that may or may not need a

little work in areas that we were familiar with but were not in love with. Two days later, we received a call from her telling us to meet her at a location later that same afternoon. She sent us an address location.  

When we arrived at the location, all we saw was a portable with the Lennar sign outside located in an open field. Again, keeping an open mind. We went inside and to our surprise it was a preconstruction for a new community of townhouses. Everything we didn’t want.  After walking through the model homes and seeing the potential we were sold on the idea of being the first to

purchase a pre-constructed townhouse in this new community. So, we did just that. Not only was she able to assist us in finding the property, but she also helped us with financing, negotiated limited closing costs, and was able to have the company throw in upgrades at no additional charges to us. Did I mention the preconstruction turnkey? Or should I say keypad. Needless to say, seven years later, we are pleased our decision to trust our realtor. Being the homeowner of now, two properties in the state of Florida and the HOA President of said townhouse we could not have been more pleased.

Romans 6 and 4 Ministries was birthed out of some heartache, some pain, some suffering, some homelessness, and some addiction. Having been homeless, our co-founder Israel G. Bryson realized what it felt like to be discarded and disregarded by society. Having been an addict Israel has endured the feeling of suffering, and loss of control and family. Israel has suffered from depression, loneliness, and hopelessness. He found himself, without love, hope, friends or family, either from bridges burned or from isolating himself. After enduring his own life's struggles, Israel was brought to a point of restoration.  He has since been involved with different programs such as: NA, AA, and Miracle Hill Overcome Center. Through his growth with Miracle Hill Overcome Center, having been chosen by counselors, staff and the Director, he then served as a Resident Assistant. He has also served as the Head Houseman, managed a thrift store and coordinated a weekly food giveaway with the State of NC. It has been the Word of God that allowed him to change and that has sustained him.
